I don’t really get the hatred this movie gets. Yes, it was silly, but so what. Lots of action flicks are silly. I loved the steampunk gadgets in this movie. The giant robot spider was a highlight. I also thought the villian was fun and pretty original in some ways. Oh well, I like it and that is all that matters. Forget the haters!

@khkrause I cant tell if your making that out to be a good thing or bad, but anyways, to this day, I still can’t find out why fans hated that movie so much. It was the same Indiana Jones we grew up with. This is the problem with bringing a series, which was made in a certain time period, into the present; people have changed, things wont be viewed the same like they were 20 years ago. Anyways, back to the subject at hand, Wild Wild West is all right, fun movie. It has aged a bit, but its fine.

I love this movie dearly, a question for fans though, why does Rita press the billiard ball when she and Artemus are in that little compartment?…that bit always confuses me. She releases the sleeping gas but what is the point? It just means Artie and Jim end up being captured and the magnetic collars put around them.
