This was a great show back in the late 70′s & early 80′s compared to the trash they show on TV today. I loved watching this show on ABC in prime time, and in syndication later. I gave it a 5 out of 5, because I enjoy shows like this, and rather than watching today’s trash, I’ll keep ordering these classics to watch.

This is a 3-DVD set containing 12 episodes from season 1. Each episode also contains a short promo at the beginning. Loved watching Vega$ as a kid. I also vacationed there often so it was like a home away from home. One of the reasons why I love watching Vega$ again is that it brings back memories of the place as I knew as a little kid. All the classic casinos are preserved in their infinite prime.

Of course, I also enjoy watching Dan Tanna riding around in his open T-Bird using his oldschool carphone and driving into that bada$$ studio unit that doubles as his office with a secretary. Glad to see Vega$ has been transfered well to DVD with clean visuals. As has been stated by others, I am dissapointed in these split season releases priced inexorably high. Oh well, I love the series enough to indulge a bit. Looking forward to season 2.

Such a great show- I only wish they didn’t seperate it into so many parts.

If you were in Las Vegas in the 60′s to the 90′s, you will be on “Memory Lane” as Dan Tanna drives his car down the Las Vegas Strip as well as downtown on Fremont Street. All those Casino lights at night! especially downtown! WOW!! You will see Casinos that are no longer with us: Dunes, Aladdin, Landmark, Frontier, Stardust, Dessert Inn, Mint, etc. You will go inside a lot of Casinos and see what they use to look like. The stories themselves are tame compared with today’s stories, but if you like to revisit “the good old days,” I recommend this series. The colors are great and you get to see a lot of the old time actors as well as Las Vegas Performers.

Good show. But I hope it is NOT the intention of the companies to make us pay DOUBLE by issueing 2 seperate volume for each year of shows, thus DOUBLING the price! If so, I WILL NOT BE BUYING!
