My fiance and I have decided to use this for our song after we are pronounced man and wife. I love it. May even tempt us to dance down the isle.
Oh, man, I have not heard this theme song in over 30 years! My mom wouldn’t let me watch this show because of the risque questions.

This song, originally titled “Summertime Guy”, was originally supposed to be performed by Eddie Rambeau on “American Bandstand” in 1962, but minutes before he was to perform it, he was told he couldn’t because Chuck Barris, who wrote the song, was an ABC employee at the time, and it may have caused problems with the FCC if they went ahead with it. It was this incident that prevented the song from climbing up the charts.
I love this show. My all time favorite show…EVER!
