Review by HABS for The Definitive TV Western Collection
I bought this two days ago and I have seen 10 episodes in random on different dvd`s so far. For the price of this compilation of $44.99, I think it is a good bargain, first of all the video quality it looks like second copy but it still looks pretty good, the audio so far no problem. 95% of these episodes are before my time, just love these western episodes,so what I saw so far,it seems like complete episodes. I am more familiar with Bonanza series and the original music is missing, it has some other type of music but the starting segment is there like the burning map and so on just like the original series but minus the original music. So basically I am not sure for the other episodes original music though, but like I said earlier,it looks like the complete episodes. It has 48 DVD`s, a booklet which is impressive, it has a small bio on every series, the index you can look up either by Disc# for the titles or by the titles, which they are in alphabetically order and the disc # beside it, all comes in a nice wooden box. Overall I rate it, 5 stars, for the price, you have 600 episodes in a wooden box and very nice booklet, you just can not beat that.
