worth every cent I paid,
I have only watched the Bold and the Beautiful since about 1996, that was when I learn’t how to video record for when I was at work. This book is a wonderfully comprehensive guide to all things B&B. It starts from 1987, including how the cast were picked and hired. It begins with the Ridge/Caroline/Brooke triangle that leads to many intricately woven triangles. It has at the heart, the fashion industry with Eric and Stephanie Forrester, the owners of one fashion house. Their rivals are the Spectra’s, lead by Sally with her daughter Macy and secretary Darla, working side by side with her. The love lives and rivalries of these 2 families are the main stories of this show. The book has beautiful colour photo’s of the weddings, and behind the scenes happenings of various storylines are told at great length. For instance, did you know that the Rodney King racial riots broke out the same day as the Ridge and Taylor wedding? They couldn’t wait to get home, they were really worried about their friends and family. Ridge and Taylor will always be my favourite couple, and their wedding photo’s and bio’s just make me love them more. At the very beginning of the book, it talks about the cast and crew and what they have done before. It shows the guest stars on the show, and even the different awards the stars have won in different years. The only flaw in the book is it is rather heavy, but is bound in a beautiful black cover. The cover has the photo’s from the start of the show and will one day be a collectors item. It was written by Robert Waldron, who reports for our Australian magazine “TV Soap”. He is an expert on a lot of TV Soaps and I hope he writes another one. All in all it was worth every cent I paid. 10 out of 10.

|Greatissimo!,
I managed to get the book at amazon although it was already out of print. It costed me a lot, but it was worth it. The B&B book is full of nice pics and many stories, also a detailed summary of what had happened from 87 to 96.

If your a lover of daytime soap operas or a fan of “The Bold and the Beautiful” this book is a must-own. Although the book only covers the series’ first ten years on the air, hense the title, this coffee table book is filled with beautiful photographs of its stars and contains some neat tidbits on the making of the serial during its first decade on the air.
In the 1990′s it was common practice for authors to pen these type of books on the soaps in order for fans of these sudsers to have an encyclopedia of sorts on their favorite daytime drama. This book is one of the better ones. Although long-out-print, “The Bold and the Beautiful: A Tenth Anniversary Celebration” is a wonderful addition to someone’s home library.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” continues to thrive both here and abroad with an estimated 26 million viewers a day watching the goings-on of the Forrester family dynasty in Los Angeles with the fashion world as its backdrop. While all the other serials on daytime losing viewers at a rapid pace “The Bold and the Beautiful” continues to be involving, exciting, and the best soap on American U.S. television.
