Ricky and David take on a paper route and Ozzie lays down the rules about taking the job seriously and being responsible. On the morning they are supposed to start however, Harriet thinks that the boys are coming down with colds and doesn’t wake them up. Harriet does wake Ozzie up; to deliver the papers for the boys. Ozzie struggles to stay awake and gets the job done, sort of. This video brought to you by hwy61media. Please take a moment to rate this movie and add your comments. @CassieLopez I am certain, when it comes to the really important stuff, your memory is excellent !
@jsilence418 Well golly gee willikers, M. Silence, I didn’t mean that! I only meant that you seemed to have some special knowledge whereas I was only relying on my memory. And, just ask my kids, that isn’t as reliable as it once was.
@CassieLopez thanks for calling me old Ms Lopez!! lol
@jsilence418 Well I thought it might be possible, but you seem to know more about it than I do. I was only a kid when this show was on, and I didn’t know anything about James Bond then. You’re probably right.
@CassieLopez I guarantee not enough Americans were that hip to James Bond that he would be used in a commercial in the 1950′s ! plus this style and color say 1960′s!
@jsilence418 It’s not impossible that this was an original commercial. After all, before the Bond movies were the Bond books by Ian Fleming. They started in the early 50′s and were wildly popular.
Yes,it certainly gives you a warm feeling to see these shows again!
I also love Andy Griffin Show. I purchased the last series but can’t recall the part where Andy married his fiance. Does anyone know what series it showed them getting married?
@jsilence418 I think so. The original commercials must have been replaced. -Michael
These must be re runs of re runs Tthe show looks 50′s but wouldn’t 007 be a tie in with one of the 1960′s movies?thanks for the posts !
Haha Ricky’s hilarious
David just passed away. This must be 60 years ago.
RIP David
I have learned of David Nelson’s death. Like his father, he was taken by cancer. Now he joins his brother Rick and parents in TV Paradise.
did you hear it? “yeah, we dont mess around, boy!” that’s gonna be my qoute in the yearbook senior year. “i dont mess around, boy!” OH SO CUTE! ♥
If I thought about Ozzie’s job at all, I figured he was the producer of the show that I was watching.
at the time Ozzie achieved “EAGLE SCOUT” he was the youngest American boy to get the rank of Eagle Scout—- that year he also earned a part of a large group of Scouts to tour Europe ….
OMG Ricky is soooooo adorable awwwwwwww
great memories! …just one observation: this must have been a rerun in the early 60´s of an ea rly 50´s episode. The 007 and the jaguar XKE came out in the 60´s when the Nelson boys were over 20.
Thanks, just the same.
license to kill…women! hahahahahaha
Thanks for that information. Ozzie Nelson was a very bright man.
I looked that up. Ozzie, didn’t want the “Father” to have an identifiable job. He felt it gave him more freedom with his character.
re; chicken coop > LOL!
I have to tell you that along with The Andy Griffith show, Ozzie and Harriet are near and dear to my heart.
You’re welcome and thank you for commenting.
LOL. I’m sure Ozzie would disapprove
On my old channel someone made a funny comment. Called Ozzie “a chicken coop Casanova!”
I like Ozzie
Don’t know what he does for a living though.
Here’s to the old days!
Oh this is wonderful to see these old episodes again. I love O&H shows when the boys are young like this epi. Thanks so much posting!!
