Following the cancellation of Bullseye, Jim Lange moved appropriate on to helm to a revival of his very 1st game show, “Oh My Word,” now under the title “Take My Word For It!” Two contestants should decide which of four celebrities is giving the truthful definition of an obscure word. I for 1 liked this show it was a enjoyable small game.

@wdm1219 Oh yes, this was an actual series. Taped in San Francisco and I saw it on KCRA in Sacramento.
An interesting celebrity panel..June Lockhart,Gordon Jump,Roxie Roker and
Jon(“Bowser”)Bauman.
Was this a pilot, or an actual series? I’m as game show nerdy as they come, and I swear to you I’ve never seen nor heard of this game before. I know “WordPlay” was just like this, except with 3 celebs.
I remember the old CTN cable network in New Jersey rerunning this back in 1988.
What year was this 1983?
Basically a precursor of “WordPlay” (1986-87).
