BOB HOPE BACKSTAGE: Kennedy Center Gala Lucille Ball “Hey, Look Him Over!” 1983

In 1983, Bob Hope was honored at a black-tie gala in Washington, DC to honor his 81st birthday. Guests who would perform on the stage of the Opera House of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts included Ronald Reagan, then president, Lucille Ball, Dudley Moore, Tom Selleck, Barbara Mandrell, Loretta Lynn, Phyllis Diller, Howard Cosell, George C. Scott, Kermit the Frog, Sheena Easton, Flip Wilson, Brooke Shields, Twiggy, Tommy Tune, and Dolores Hope. You can read all about the how Hope worked with his guests and his writers and what happened behind-the-scenes of these classic Bob Hope video clips by reading my book “THE LAUGH MAKERS: A Behind-the-Scenes Tribute to Bob Hope’s Incredible Gag Writers.” Says “laugh-In’s” Gary Owens: “The Laugh Makers is the book we’ve all been waiting for. It’s jam-packed with stories, anecdotes and un-retouched photos from a fondly remembered past, recalling often hilarious, sometimes heartwarming, and always touching tales of legendary stars, near-legendary stars and one or two complete failures — which happens in show business. You can look it up in your Funk & Wagnalls.” To get your copy, just click on this Amazon link: Or this Barnes & Noble link: Or, if you’d prefer the KINDLE e-version for .99, click here:

2009 AirPower Over Hampton Roads – USAF Thunderbirds

USAF Thunderbirds Ground Show, Aerial Performance, Return 2009 AirPower Over Hampton Roads Langley AFB, Virginia Sunday April 26, 2009 IN THIS VIDEO, I have combined the Thunderbirds’ ground show, aerial performance, and their return to Langley AFB all in one video. You will see the Thunderbirds performing a high show over Langley AFB in their new Block 52 F-16s, as nicely as a completely revamped flying display, as quickly as the team gets off the ground, they actually put the F-16s into their own location. The Pratt & Whitney F100-229 also produces a various pitch in engine sound, which you can clearly pick out in the video. To me, it is reminiscent of the GE F110s that the Block 30, 40, 50, and 60 F-16s have. I had to edit out a lot of the return video simply because I had to recover some of my belongings that had been about to take a twelve-foot plunge from the bleachers (it was only my bag of water). Like what you’ve seen? If you are interested in buying DVDs of distinct aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, and so on.), a considerably more less complicated to navigate “version” of all of my videos, and/or every thing there is related to aviation – including spotting guides to my preferred airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve’s Airshow Globe at www

Dude on Price IS Right bids 420 over and over

On this episode of The Price Is Right contestant Evan Goding does what he’s waited for his whole life. He makes it up to contestants row and bids 420. Not just once. A bunch of times. The crowd loves him and at one point he even makes Barker blush.
