Do I, do I belong to the night?
Only only only tonight.
All the ladies stay inside.
Time may freeze, a world could cry.
All this night running loud
I hear the whispers I hear the shouts.
And tho they never cry for help…
Tell me who sends these infamous gifts.
To make such a promise and make such a slip.
Oh no
Can’t pull a trick
Never the rose
Without the prick
But tell me how do I say?
I woke up and it was yesterday.
Do I again face this night?
Guiding Light. Guiding Light.
Guiding thru these nights….

Crystal Chappell Has One More Year on Guiding Light
Crystal Chappell of Guiding Light has recently signed a new contract with CBS to appear for another year in the Emmy award-winning daytime drama. On the soap, Chappell plays villain Olivia Spencer.
“I am so happy to be staying on Guiding Light for another year,” Crystal Chappell said in a statement on her official website. “They are my family and hopefully, Olivia will find her own light. Regardless of how some people feel about Olivia, I have always appreciated all the fans of the show.”
First joining the cast of Guiding Light in 1999, the 42-year-old actress earned a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2002. In 2005 and 2006, she was again nominated in the same category. This year, she received her first nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress, however lost it to Maura West of As the World Turns, where she plays Carly Tenney Snyder.
Prior to Guiding Light, Crystal Chappell has worked on such daytime dramas as All My Children, where she debuted, Santa Barbara, One Life to Live, where she spent two years, and Days of Our Lives where she spent three years playing Dr. Carly Manning Alamain. For primetime television, Chappell has worked on Pensacola, Wings of Gold and Silk Stalkings.
Two years prior to her re-signing, she asked to be released from Guiding Light, however, the show executives denied her request. It was during the time when the soap was experiencing problems such as constant budget cuts, thus a number of cast members on contracts were asked to leave the show. When Chappell asked for her release, many speculated that she was heading for another daytime drama.
“I did ask to be released from my [Guiding Light] contract, but for my own reasons,” Crystal Chappell explained. “It’s not about going anywhere else.”
