Lion-ready? Nope. A real lemon!,
Loaded with more OS Lion glitches than fixes, Quark Xpress has been a royal pain. My style sheets drop-down menu simply vanished, and this app quits unexpectedly. In Lion. On a 64 bit Xeon. You must been kidding me, is this a cruel joke?
Old Quark files won’t automatically open in Quark 9.0; they come up as Unix files that need a command-I for some adjustment.
My online help from Quark was poorly typed and a long, long, long wait. Clearly, the operator wasn’t U.S. and unprepared for the problems within Q9. I found the problems and “restart solution” myself, after printing out 21 pages of a doc for keyboard commands. For me, at least 2 standard features vanished and on restart, magically reappeared, no joke.
This on Lion. I’m still having a printer issue, and will figure that out next, but it all sorta works. Fonts are displayed like, uhm, InDesign. BEWARE.
