VISIT: www.sigh7ings.com to watch entire episode! hit the television world on February 24, 1978 like a galaxy-class starship slamming into a Quasi-norm. Quark, NBC’s fantastic science-fiction spoof from the mind of Buck Henry, was released about the same time as Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and Battlestar Galactica were making their impact on the science fiction community. The short-lived series featured Richard Benjamin as Adam Quark along with his crazy crew aboard a spacefaring garbage scow.

@luckofthegerman HAHAHAH RED! LOL… I can see it…
I thought I had dreamed this show existed… I can’t believe someone had this to upload! thanks Hahha
The irony here is that Quark was probably one of the most realistic depictions of the future of space flight ever aired.
Someone’s gonna have to clean up the trash.
I don’t know about you, but I’m in the mood for some double-mint gum!
See the shit we had to endure in the 70′s. Was the head of the space station Red from “That 70′s Show”?
This is from the Pilot, not Ep 1 the Source Be With You.
what a piece of ssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MyFlipNWorld Benny Hill considered funnier than Monty Python by two TV stations (WOR and WLVI)!
may the Source be with you? ugh…I must have been watching Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers or even the Star Wars Holiday special when this piece of drek came out.
I wonder if the mouse comment was an homage to Hitchhiker’s Guide…
That clip doesn’t have the SOURCE in it.
Loved The Head,a migraine the size of a supernova. man oh man LOL. And Ficus their answer to Spock . This show was a scream, with Richard Benjiman playing Adam Quark. Playing him straight, made him that much more funny. A wonderful show. Pity it didn’t last longer.
he looks like mr bean
I remember really liking this show when it originally aired! The theme song (composed by Mork & Mindy theme composer Perry Botkin, Jr.) sounds like a Star Trek take-off with a little disco thrown in! BTW, the humanoid at the table with the aliens is series creater Buck Henry!
I used to watch this show all the time when I was young! Have to love the ABC for never fearing to show the great shows!
Kind of a nice musical theme for this type of show.
Dittoo! What memories. This needs to go to DVD if it hasn’t yet.
Thanks for posting this! I haven’t seen it since it aired.
Part 2?
Loved this show as a kid… just had to come here to YouTube to find it, so I could link it and prove that it existed…
Thank you Sigh7ings!!!
Go to the right sci-fi conventions and you may find a vendor or two sellinh it on bootleg DVD.

Used to watch this when I was a kid. Never ever EVER hear about it any more, but good ol’ YouTube comes through again!! ROFL. Thanks “SIGH7INGS”! Yes, those twins were pretty smokin’! And Richard Benjamin is about as close to an American “Black Adder” here as you’re going to get, I think.
