I was an extra in this scene (Shot on the Universal lot). I am in the foreground of the orchestra scene in the dark gold shirt, nerdy 70′s short pants and whit socks. (provided by the studio). Jack was a true gentleman and amazing talent. He never received the praise he deserved. He will be missed.

When watching the TV series, I was never crazy about the laugh track, but I kind of miss hearing a laugh track in the movie. Interesting to see the extended depiction of the TV series opening theme. Now I know how Jack ended up running down a hill with a talking flute. At 3:05, is that the Munster’s house on the right half of the screen in the fake prop neighborhood that Jack Wild is running through? And at 4:00, is that the old set of Tara from Gone With The Wind? Sure looks similar.
Love this movie and love Jack Wild .
RIP Jack Wild.
One of the best kids movies ever ! – love it :]
OMG I remember growing up watching this movie. It was tha highlight of my day to come home and watch it! Good old PufnStuf
i never knew there was a movie .wow.
As I recall, Jack looked very good up until he got cancer from heavy smoking. After that, he aged at warp speed overnight and died shortly after. I’ve never seen anyone age so quickly. Frankly, if the anti-smoking people could use the young death of such a vibrant and talented man as Jack Wild into a voiceless ghost of his former self.
@AxeNewkill Ron Moody was only 43 in the film but was wearing heavy make up.
@unhooked25 I think Ron Moody did smoke an occasional cigar.
My sister and I thought he was australian back in the day. It was the hat that threw us off. And we’re from england. Guess we’re the slow ones.

@AxeNewkill, correct. Ron Moody is still alive and performing on stage and he also is a fantastic actor and still quite phisically fit. Just goes to show how looking after yourself sure pays off.
@unhooked25 Ironically, the old man who played Fagin in Oliver! is STILL alive and still performing on stage!
Jack Wild died young due to extremely heavy smoking
@ceceisverycool lol, the flute singing at 7:04, 7:18 & 7:27 look pretty funny too
I watched the TV show but I never knew this movie existed!
i laugh for like a fucking hour after 6:00. lmao……..damn 70′s. what a drug world
Freddie: that boat spoke to us!
Thumbs Up for Jack Wild!!!
Wow, what a beautiful and haunting opening song sung by the late Jack Wild.” If I could I would be a balloon floating high above the trees and free”. Miss you Mr. Jack Wild….
Remember the show well. Didn’t know they made a movie
4:09, i seriously laughed about that for like 10 straight minutes.
i’m 15 years old and i love jack wild, and i’m not afraid to admit it even though none of my friends know who he is, then it makes me feel like i’m in some kind of secret club, haha. <3
his face makes me happy. [[[[= it’s a shame that he died, because he was an incredible person with loads of talent and a kick ass accent. wish i could’ve met him. gahhh, thank god for YouTube though, ^_^
NOSTALGIA EXPLOSION

‘Freddie, that boat just spoke to us’. Yes, and you’re talking to a flute. :’). Gosh, this is mad but good at the same time.
