Peyton Place – Ryan O’Neal and Barbara Parkins (romantic moment)

A 1968 scene of the primetime soap opera Peyton Place (1964-1969). In this scene, newlywed Rodney and Betty share a very romantic moment in their new home. Note that they are obviously talking about sex, without mentioning it directly. I do not own the material! No infringement intended!

@carmenjones411 I actually quite liked her hair like this, even though it always gives me a Dallas-vibe. She was ahead of time, I guess.

I started watching Peyton Place in junior high and seriously loved Rodney and Betty. And Dorothy Malone as Constance McKenzie. I will never forget how the series ended: abruptly, right in the middle of a storyline. A courtroom scene, no less! Keep the PP clips coming. This is great stuff!

I hated Barbara’s super long hair look during the later version of the show, it added 10 years to her, I love her dark exotic look with shoulder length hair in the mid sixties better

Great clip!! I was a little too young to watch Peyton Place when it first aired but my big sister & I would watch anyway. It’s wonderful to see these clips you’ve posted; brings back a lot of memories–Betty & Rodney were a beautiful couple!

Betty sure was beautiful. She and Rodney weren’t directly mentioning sex,but the way they did talk about it was risque enough for 1968.(Chuckle!)
