I have enjoyed the series for a year or more. Have moved to California and it is not on PBS here but expect to see it come back from time to time. The latest episodes I saw before leaving home had a lot of new characters, and the most familiar ones are being phased out.
I found this on my locol PBS channel . I love the show. Now they have stoped showing it .I would pay to see it again. There is something speciel about it that I love.

You can never go wrong with Last of the summer wine. I havent seen the show in a while, but its still my favorite show of all time. R.I.P Kathy you were a great actress.
So lucky to get to actually go there and see the cafe and the lil streets where they all traveled. I started watching this show when I accidentally discovered it in 2005 and my only regret is that I had not discovered it sooner. My whole family are watching it now,,,,even the teens!
@cynthiafordsigers I know the feeling! It’s amazing what happens to my heart rate when I hear the opening theme — it’s just like a great big “Ahhhhhh, everything is better now!!” And you can tell what kind of day it’s been — If the Britcoms are on right when I get home, it’s been a really rough day, and I just wanna escape to Holmfirth!
They all seem like my own old friends now…..

I was in holmfirth about 3 weeks ago and visited the cafe awesome…so sad to hear of nora batty today though…real shock she was a true icon of british comedy …god bless ya kathy x
