What a trip. I havn’t seen that in about 40 years. I LIVED for Pufnstuf when I was a kid, even remember writing a letter to Jack Wilde. Seeing something after so long is definately an odd experience, reigniting those neural pathways again. I love it!!!
Everything the Krofts wrote and produced must have been after a good trip….

You know you look back at what we watched and alot of it looked like something someone on a good “high” wrote and made into a show! LOLLLLLLLLLLL…take for instance Willy Wonka…..some guy was sitting on a couch with a case of the candy munchies and wrote that shit! But this was one of my fave shows to sit on the floor and watch while my mother yelled at me for sitting too close to the T.V.!!
I remember these days, when the intro & outro took up half the show.
WOW!! I havent seen this since I was about 9 and I remembered liking it for witchiepoo but , really?? Is this what I was watching ?? it is wierd, seriously quite startled to see this now and realise not all tv back then was worth the fond remembering. LOL gotta watch it again to be sure ; ) then im off to check out White horse and belle and sebastian!!

I was 8 years old when this show first aired. It sucked back then and it sucks now. I mean, what kind of acid trip was the producer of this show on when they developed it? I couldn’t wait to watch Jonny Quest reruns.

@bonjbrown I used to love Sid & Marty Kroft’s shows when I was a kid. Then again, I grew up less than 10 minutes from the Canada/US border, so I watched a fair bit of US programming.

Were there enough episodes to put on a DVD? I thought there were only a few before it got pulled. I can’t remember more than like 10 at the most. The Pufnstuff movie was probably longer than all the TV episodes put together.

Not repeating nonsense either, just repeating what my CANADIAN girlfriend said because she doesn’t remember anything about this show and she said she thought the writers were on acid. Sensitive much? @OldCorpBLT13: Feel sorry for yourself-your kids are having a great time living NOW than living in their daddy’s (or mommy’s) shadow watching great toons like Grossology, Dora The Explorer, Ni Ho Kai Lan, Batman: The Brave & The Bold, 6 Teen, Stoked, Johnny Test, Sponge Bob Squarepants, Totally Spies, The Amazing Spiez, Kim Possible, Disney’s Recess, Winx Club, Noonbury and The Super 7, Ben 10: Alien Force, The Proud Family, Fillmore, etc…while their dad/mom sits in a childish funk.
@Pozillaify: Actually, Sid and Marty never kept the shows in syndication much-that’s the REAL reason. And H.R PUFNSTUF’s on DVD now anyway.
What the TV show never tells us, that the movie does, is that Jimmy was bullied as school for playing with his flute.
