A majority of each week’s “Hee Haw” shows included a series of skits, blackouts and corny jokes; however, the meat of series came from its music. Each week, two or three country music stars guested usually one or two of the guests being well-established, the others newer and up-and-coming stars as well as bluegrass, country gospel and other acts, signers and musicians popular with country audiences.
@wallofvideo…I agree with you this was an entertaining show, I loved it as a kid…but it was more creative than most of current network television…this brings back good memories.
@wallofvideo You know something that’s a really good question? Speaking for myself I always wonder that too to be honest with you.
@wallofvideo I think there is one…its the Blue Collar Comedy with Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Foxworthy. But I know what you mean

this was a very entertaining show. i bet if you did a show like this today there would still be a big tv audience for it. i really don’t know why networks are so afraid of corny material.
The Hee Haw song the most retarded song ever!hahaha
@Cluebert – My parents also loved this show, too! Pardon the pun – the jokes were CORNY, but the show was funny.

@Goosemeyer OH MY GOD, I loved our CB. We had one in both of our cars. Breaker 19, This here is Hot Dog, what’s your 10-20?? That was the shit!!! Loves the Dukes Of Hazzard. Boss Hog, God Rest His Soul, was my favorite. Hell, I even bought the video game for PS2. I loved that generation, and will still be one of the best of all-time…
What part of Jersey are you from?? Jersey City Here…..
where can I download this video or at least the intro clip with the donkey
what’s up with those city slicker clothes?
@havingfun1968
I’m a Jersey Boy as well, But this brings back a lot of memories..
Country was cool in the early 80′s if you were a kid. Bo and Luke duke were allowed to carry knives and have CB radios.. It seems corny now, but so will the iPod in 35 years. I still can’t find the original Pffft you were gone! I want that as a ringtone.
i cant belive john5 used to watch this? and he was influenced by this show to play guitar. cool
Greatest show ever, and I grew up in Jersey. It was just pure fun, and silliness. Then after this we’d watch, “Solid Gold”, and then “Dance Fever”. That was our Saturday Night in the 70′s….
Hee-haw!
Hahahahahaha! My parents loved this show!!!
Good ole fun! Thanks for posting!
