The final act of one of Gunsomkes greatest stories. Charles Bronson takes a trip to boot hill as Matt Dillon (James Arness) decides its time for him to die.
Video Rating: four / 5
This old episodes are amazing in that they hold up even today. Thanks for posting this!
Charles Bronson as a panicky backshooter. Who would’ve thunk it? But there is only one other person who could outshoot Bronson and that’s Sheriff Matt Dillon.
RIP James Arness…and Charles Bronson
” big Jim” rest in peace, just found out he’s left us. what a guy, I been watching Gunsmoke for awhile now. I’m sad !
Rest in peace, Mr Arness, and thank you.
Life in America was so much simpler without the ACLU.
Marshall Dillon is so ‘in control’ in this episode. He really showed ‘killer’ who was BOSS!
My great grandfather developed this comic a strip in 1950!! And he was a bomb maker too!
Navy Seals got Osama Bin Laden!!
Can you imagine if cops were like this today? WOAH!!!!
One Bronson’s t.v. best!..
I just saw a very funny dub on “blackmaskmike” channel. About this exact scene. You guys should check it out! Its so freaking hilarious. I think its called “Gunsmoke Dub”….BTW: I did not make it, but it is so freaken funny. Similar to Jaboodydubs only this guy didn’t use any special effects.
@MisterMasterShafter YOU NEED TO CLIMB BACK IN YOUR CAVE YOU SKUM.MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO TO THE MICHAEL MOORE SECTION MAYBE YOU WOULD LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT BEING A HUMAN BEING.WHEN YOU WATCH GUNSMOKE YOU MUST BE LEARNING FROM THE BAD GUYS.GUNSMOKE’S A GREAT SHOW WHO DON’T NEED A SIMPLETON LIKE YOU.YOU RICH SKUM!
@DrJuanPasillo Yeah. Unfortunately there are too many ding-dong hippies around now who don’t live in reality.
@MisterMasterShafter Your right on, my friend. theoriginalmrsm and miss alucoq need to wake up and smell reality. Dillon showed what being a real, responsible, moral human being is all about, which is honesty, loyalty, courage, and responsibility. I can just hear these other two ding-dongs talking now — “I think only the people responsible for protecting me should have guns, blah, blah, blah.” (just imagine that spoken with a weak, whining voice)
The best of the best ever.
@theoriginalmrsm You and your idiotic leftist gibberish have no place in America or on a YouTube Gunsmoke video. Go smoke some more dope and get back to your Michael Moore section.
@MisterMasterShafter : conservatives know right from wrong, until it’s a rich man stealing billions of dollars… then they call them a hero. You guys have lots of balls, until it’s time to prosecute a president for ordering torture.
All I ca see in this scene is Matt Dillon is just a murderer.
This was adapted from a February 13, 1954 radio episode. I suspect your great-great grandfather, ‘musichearts’, was either Norman MacDonnell (who also produced the radio show) or Charles Marquis Warren.
they dont make em like they use to
this is clip in hd is great ,the faces are so intense ,and the black and white film add to the low-key of the times,,,, leaves the rest to imagination,it is like reading a book ,,we could not have these characters today,,but I am so glad this was in our history
This is how America should talk to Iran.
I had the name “Matt Dillon” confused with the guy who played Richy White in the movie “Over the edge”.
my great, great grandfather produced this show
I love gun smoke
