When I come to power @ GSN, the classics will be back, and both new and old shall coexist in perfect harmony, perfectly in tune with every bell, buzzer, and boingy-boingy…
What? What’s the question?
@storrs19 Since 2006, channels are going nowhere but downhill. I miss the 90s!
One of these days, I’m going to take over GSN, and I’ll reverse it’s current direction to at least the 2000 era, the era of the network that I first watched this channel.
Things were much better for GSN in 1994 than they are today. There was a lot more variety of game shows to watch. Don’t get me wrong. Some shows that GSN airs today such as Deal or No Deal and 1 VS 100 are awesome, but repeating them over and over again multiple times a day gets to be really tiresome. There are so many different game shows out there and GSN now shows so few of them that it’s crazy. Did someone who doesn’t like game shows take over the network recently? =(
@saml760 When a stagehand made a complete jerk of himself and said WE HAVE TO GO WITH WHATEVER COMES OUT OF A CONTESTANT’S MOUTH FIRST on GSNLive many months ago for the whole US and Canada watching. I was so dumbfounded that day. NO. You don’t say that to the host on live TV DANG IT. That’s what I thought to myself. Again some not all contestants on GSN Live are too easily rushed and they’re like OH DARN I SO KNEW that and can’t do a daggum thing about it.
1:45 “Do you quit? Or do you go on?”
Great opening montage for a great network. Now if only After Hours on GSN Live wasn’t so….
rushed.
@saml760
I Think They Need To Be More Flexible With Their Programming. Here’s How I Would Advise Them To Do.
First, I Think That They Should Put All The More Modern Gameshows Monday-Friday From 9 A.M. – 4 A.M. And All The Classic GameShows Saturday And Sundays From 9 A.M. To 12 A.M. And High Stakes Poker From 12 A.M. – 4 A.M.
Now That’s What I Call Gameshow Network, A Network That Plays Both Classic & Modern Gameshows. Look At TvLand, They Play Old & New Shows.

@GamrNrd
I Agree. I Starting Watching This Channel Back In 1995. I Enjoyed All The Shows
That They Were Showing. But Now It’s All Garbage. What I Think They Should Do Is To Put All The New Shows On Monday Through Friday Between 9:00 A.M. Through 4:00 A.M. And Then Between 9 A.M. To 8:00 P.M. On Saturdays And Sundays Put All The Classic Gameshows. Than From 8:00 P.M. To 4:00 A.M. They Can Put On The Poker Shows, Even Thought It Is Not Needed.
What Do You People Think About That?
@auntbecky if Viacom was behind this all we would have no Pyramids or Card Sharks or Match Game. Just new shows like Deal or no Deal.
Not to mention their crash with press your luck missing 2 years of the series when USA network probly only negected a few months of the series. COMMON PEOPLE! YOU WANT UR ECONOMY TO LOOK UP AGAIN?? PUT THE GAME SHOWS AND THEIR CREDITS BACK ON! WHAT IS GSN STANDING FOR NOW??? GAY SHIT NETWORK? lol
They HAVE to make GSN like 1994 again.
i wish gsn should be that way over again.
GSN is a JOKE today!
Nice reminder of what GSN used to be…they really started going downhill in 2004 w/the official re-branding and attempts to broaden their sched by airing non-GS programming (casino shows, reality TV, video game programs, etc). Their current original series are pretty good, but other than that, really nothing left that’s worth watching anymore.
“What was the question?”
@heine71 Nope. TPIR didn’t appear on GSN until 1996.
Sweet memories from the glory days of Game Show Network. Of the all the game shows featured in the launch, only 3 shows – Dawson’s Feud, Match Game, and Eubanks’ Card Sharks – exist on the current schedule (it is July 23, 2010 as I post this).
And I agree, GSN used to be crap in 2009. All that was worth watching was Combs’ Feud, but even that wasn’t as exciting to me as Eubanks’ Card Sharks. I gave up GSN in May 2009, but the return of Card Sharks in April really gave me a second thought.
These wer the good ole days of game show network. Thanks for posting this. Our stupid cable company did not carry this at the time.
Now GSN is a pile of shit network with credit crunches, GSN Live and other assorted BS.
The goal is to get a milkshake on the board!
Only SPT can make a new incarnation. I’m basically talking about the original show. I’ve only seen one episode that’s already posted here.
No The Price is Right clips in the 1994 GSN Launch montage?
@ShaDeed329 Maybe in the future the new THE HUB channel after it replaces Discovery Kids could revive Quiz Kids Challenge.
