EAZY 101 had the exclusive Robert Urich promo until the station cancelled and became B-101. I guess I listened to the station at that time because of Urich!

“Are you into Streisand, Manilow, Diamond?” I’ll never forget that one. Like that was ever “hip.” Music for the pre-geriatric set.

This happened around late 1988, when they brightened the overall sound of EAZY 101. Actually, in Feb. 1988, EAZY 101 dropped all the instrumentals, and began adding more soft AC artists. It was just a retuning of the station to attract younger listeners. But in October 1988, they added some newer songs, and edged towards AC. That’s when they brought in Robert Urich to tell people that EAZY 101 has changed their music completely.
