   What icons these two are – and what an amazing musical treat this CD is! A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll….and a whole lot of great music! I couldn’t wait for the U.S. release so I had to buy the UK import quite awhile ago and spent a lot more money for it – but it was so worth it! Every song is just its own treasure! They’re not the “little” Donny and Marie you remember (as great as they were back then). This CD has both powerhouse solos and exquisite duets with harmonies only these two amazingly gifted siblings can create. Quite simply, you will LOVE this CD!

   I must admit I also purchased the import version a year and a half ago because I could not wait to see what one of the most iconic duos of pop culture had recorded together for the first time in more than 30 years.
   Yes, 30.
   Donny and Marie have performed together from Miss America to having their own talk show but they had not recorded together since Winning Combination.
   On his own, Donny returned to recording in 1989 with Soldier of Love and then showed off his more adult side with 2001′s This is The Moment, followed by a series of very much acclaimed albums.
   After a wildly successful career in country music in the 1980s, Marie returned to the studio with one of the sweetest collections of holiday tunes ever released in 2007 and then followed that up with I Can Do This last year.
   Now that they are all the rage with their show in Vegas (who knew Donny and Marie would save Vegas?), it seems only fitting that they should at last release an album.
   From my understanding, this CD was supposed to be released in the states last year but was put on hold when Marie suffered the loss of her son.
   This album shows a great maturity and change in vocal range from their days as pop’s sibling prince and princess. On this collection, both Donny and Marie’s days on Broadway and apart from one another is evident. Their voices are more rich and full of life experience.
   When Marie sings “My Reflection,” you will hear the cry in her voice. You will see who she is singing to. When Donny performs “I Have You to Thank,” you can picture him sitting next to his wife.
   Their chemistry and harmony is better than ever. One of the most touching examples is when, in one number, they sing “some people just pass through life like cars on the interstate, passing through a small town…never looking back.”
   Yes, there are some nods on here to Marie’s country roots ( ie — “Better Off Blue”) and there is a wink to Donny’s “little bit rock and roll” image but this CD spotlights two people who, like the rest of us, have been through much and survived. Divorces, death, Dancing With the Stars, dreams fulfilled and dreams denied. All of what they have experienced and all of what we have experienced in the last 30 years can be heard on this musical journey.
   It’s still the Donny and Marie so beloved from the 1970s, only better. If you are looking for the sequel to Goin’ Coconuts or Disco Train, you might be a little disappointed. But if you are looking for a collection that showcases the full range of vocal talent from two of America’s musical treasures, you will be absolutely delighted.
   Thank you Donny and Marie for finally doing this album. You never disappoint.
