This was a spinoff from Dragnet on NBC it was on syndications reruns during the late 1970 s thy sure dont make good Action cops tv show like Adam12 and Dragnet anymore nowdays

Considering tthis show was 40 years old, they did a credible job with it for the time!
I wish there were full episodes uploaded on here, it’s virtually impossible to watch if you’re in the UK

I watch this show every day and I even have the whole season on DVD. this show is great.

I grew up in Southern CA on this show and Emergency! I can remember going to a Car Show at the LA Convention Center and meeting Martin Milner and Kent McCord WITH the ADAM-12 unit ! lol Back in the late 60′s and early 70′s the LAPD would come to Elementary Schools and do high speed turns and burnouts in their patrol cars… very cool

That’s right! And when the kids got home, they got another ruthless beating from their parents! But don’t forget the bad cops that make life hard for the good ones doing their job the right way. One bad cop negates 100 good ones.
i think that until the had a series of disasters they were probably just that popular. think they were least expensive of all. what killed them/ that fishbowl car?
seems the thumbs downs are against me. im sure there’ll never be a movie for this. Was ‘the rookies’ this bad too???

@bsbl23 You’re right! The car was a Plymouth until season 5 when they went to the AMC Matadors.
Martin Milner sure was bringing the everyman hotness in Adam 12.

If I’m thinking correctly, in the early episodes they drove a Plymouth.
From the first episode noticed a Rambler car parked promently ,usually a brown 2 door model then an American model,a station wagon,now I am aware that a lot of other makes appear to but since I like AMC cars they just stand out,and this was before the series used the Matador as the squad car. Pete even ‘owned’ a 2 door Matador,he went from the Mustang rag top to that AMC.also noticed a fair amount of AMC’s in Dragnet.Wonder if Jack Webb liked AMC’s and used them for his shows.hmm
