A classic example of 1953 Tv, with The Andrews Sisters singing “The Anniversary Song” (a well-known pop normal produced renowned in the United States by the late Al Jolson a few years just before and adapted from a hit Romanian peice known as “Waves of the Danube”) on Milton Berle’s “Texaco Star Theater”, a NBC tv selection series well-known at the time. This was shown *live*, and also capabilities Milton Berle dancing with radio star Gertrude Berg.

Molly Goldberg was beautiful here waltzing with Milton Berle…
What a thrill to see this. A demonstration that the ladies were all lead singers! They wanted to sound like the front horn line in an orchestra and that they did. Other sister acts took the lead singer and background voices approach.
Wonderful song and a wonderful group.
